In addition to our focus on providing our customers with quality products, New Horizons Baking Company is committed to sustaining our environment as well. With our Environmental Policy and commitment, we encourage conservation and efficient use of our natural resources. Both of our facilities send zero waste to landfill, meaning that all waste produced is either recycled or incinerated for energy use. We are constantly looking for innovative ways to reduce our environmental impact.
Some methods we currently use include:
- Conducting energy audits
- Participating in the Energy Star Challenge
- Tracking our carbon footprint
- Reevaluating usage of compressed air
- Natural lighting in facilities
